CHRISTOPHER COLOMBUS 

1. When/Where born?

 Christopher Columbus is generally believed to been born in the Italian city of Genoa in 1451.

2. What did he try to find/first voyage?

He had the idea of looking for a Western route to the Indies

3. Which countries/ financial support?

He asked for financial help from Portugal and England, but he finally got financial support from the Catholic Kings of Spain.

4. Why: “INDIANS”?

He called the native peoples “Indians” because he believed he was in the Indies.

5. How many voyages?

He made four voyages in total, but he never found the Western route to the Indies.
